Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
1. Overview
This policy explains what information ThinkSprout collects, why, and how it's used. Because our platform serves children, we're deliberate about collecting only what's needed, and only from a parent or guardian on the child's behalf.
2. Information We Collect
- Account details: the parent/guardian's name, email address, and password.
- Child details: name, class/grade, and school board — provided by the parent, used only to personalize classes and progress tracking.
- Booking & usage data: classes booked, attended, and progress notes from teachers.
- Payment information: handled directly by our payment gateway. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank account details.
- Technical data: basic cookies for login sessions, cart, and site functionality (see our Cookie Policy).
3. How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account and membership
- To schedule, deliver, and track classes and progress
- To process payments and send booking or billing confirmations
- To respond to support or contact requests
- To send account-related emails, such as email verification
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Children's Privacy
ThinkSprout is designed for children, but accounts are always created and controlled by a parent or guardian — children do not register or provide information directly. Parents can review, correct, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us.
5. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to run the platform, including our website host, payment gateway, class booking system, and course delivery system. Each handles data only as needed to provide their specific service.
6. Data Retention
We keep account and booking data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
7. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your (or your child's) personal data by writing to us. We'll respond within a reasonable time, consistent with applicable Indian data protection law.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including secure password storage and encrypted payment processing. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
